The Fátima prayers (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈfatimɐ]) are a collection of vii Catholic prayers associated with the 1917 Marian apparitions at Fátima, Portugal. Of the 7 prayers, reportedly, the first two were taught to the iii child visionaries past the Angel of Peace, the next three were taught to the children past Our Lady of Fátima herself during the course of the apparitions, and the final two were taught to Lúcia dos Santos, the eldest and last survivor of the three, in 1931 by Jesus when she was already a nun. Of the seven prayers, the Rosary Decade Prayer is the best-known and the most widely recited. For each prayer below, an English translation is given alongside the Portuguese original.

Affections of Peace [edit]

Theological Prayer [edit]

In the Spring of 1916, the Angel of Peace taught the three children of Fátima this prayer, making them echo information technology 3 times.

My God, I believe, adore, promise and love You lot! I ask pardon of You for those who do non believe, practice not adore, do not hope and who deny you honey.[1]

Meu Deus! Eu creio, adoro, espero e amo-Vos. Peço-Vos perdão para os que não crêem, não adoram, não esperam e Vos não amam. [2]

The angel then said, "Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the vocalization of your supplications."[three] To believe, admire, hope, and love God is to practice the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity.[iv]

Trinitarian Prayer [edit]

In Baronial 1916, the Angel taught the children this prayer, once more making them repeat it iii times.

Near Holy Trinity, Begetter, Son, Holy Spirit, I admire You lot profoundly, and I offering You the near precious Torso, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference with which He Himself is offended. And, through the infinite merits of His near Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Y'all the conversion of poor sinners.[5]

S antíssima Trindade, Padre, Filho, Espírito Santo, (adoro-Vos profundamente) east ofereço-Vos o preciosíssimo Corpo, Sangue, Alma e Divindade de Jesus Cristo, presente em todos bone Sacrários da terra, em reparação dos ultrajes, sacrilégios e indiferenças com que Ele mesmo é ofendido. E pelos méritos infinitos do Seu Santíssimo Coração e do Coração Imaculado de Maria, peço-Vos a conversão dos pobres pecadores. [vi]

Trinitarian Prayer [edit]

On May 13, 1917, as Our Lady bathed the children in low-cal and as they were "moved by an interior impulse that was ... communicated to [them]", they said this prayer.[8]

O most Holy Trinity, I adore Yous! My God, my God, I love You in the about Blessed Sacrament![9]

Ó Santíssima Trindade, eu Vos adoro. Meu Deus, meu Deus, eu Vos amo no Santíssimo Sacramento. [10]

It is the Trinity, present in the person of Christ, who is in the Eucharist.[11]

Offering Prayer [edit]

On June 13, 1917, Our Lady said to the children "Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say [this prayer] many times, especially whenever you lot brand some cede[.]"

O Jesus, it is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.[12]

Ó Jesus, é por Vosso amor, pela conversão dos pecadores e em reparação pelos pecados cometidos contra o Imaculado Coração de Maria. [13]

Rosary Decade Prayer [edit]

Of the seven Fátima prayers, this is the most well-known, often being referred to simply as the "Fátima Prayer".[xiv] On that same day (June xiii, 1917), Our Lady taught the children to say this prayer afterwards each decade of the Rosary. Our Lady also encouraged the children to go along to pray the Rosary every day.[fifteen]

O my Jesus, forgive usa, salve us from the fire of hell. Lead all souls to Sky, especially those who are most in need.[sixteen]

Tuy Chapel [edit]

These prayers were reportedly taught privately past Jesus to Sister Lucia in 1931 when she was a nun in the Galician boondocks of Tuy, across the border with Spain.[ citation needed ] These alleged revelations of Christ have not been approved past the Church; only the angelic and Marian apparitions of 1916 and 1917 are approved.[xix]
